DietSpotlight.com Review - Is it a Scam? (UPDATE: 2020)

What is DietSpotlight.com?

DietSpotlight is a website that focuses on nutrition advice, weight loss reviews and diet program overviews. They have enlisted a variety of freelance writers, dietitians, nutritionists and even doctors to write extensive articles on dieting and fitness. If you take a closer look, you will find literally thousands of reviews and articles from DietSpotlight.com. After all, this website dates back to 2008.

Is DietSpotlight Providing Real Diet Pill Reviews?

This is the big question and a concern on the minds of many dieters who visit the website. The short answer is, yes! Diet Spotlight does provide all sorts of legitimate overviews of fitness equipment, diet books, weight loss programs, dietary supplements, fat burners and appetite suppressants. BUT, as many consumers have noticed, there is an ulterior motive involved. DietSpotlight.com is pushing their own weight loss product, as many other "diet pill review" sites do.

So why all the weight loss pill reviews? Well, the diet information is what brings you to the website - then you're subtly encouraged to choose the weight loss product that's made by Diet Spotlight.

What is the DietSpotlight Weight Loss Product?

This is where things get a bit confusing. Originally DietSpotlight.com sold a product called Avesil, which is used as a weight loss formula that burns off fat and boosts energy.

However, Avesil pills were later called Leptigen. This may have been due to Dietspotlight customer complaints. Simply change the name of the product and keep on selling it. More recently, the weight loss supplement name was changed to DietSpotlight Burn or Burn TS. Still the same ingredient formula - just a different name.

DietSpotlight Burn TS Ingredients

Here is a list of the ingredients in Burn TS pills:
  • Meratrim (offers Garcinia Mangostana fruit rind and Sphaeranthus Indicus flower heads)
  • Green Tea Extract (provides Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and a small amount of caffeine)
  • ChromeMate (a form of chromium that is bonded with niacin)
  • Caffeine (a stimulant)

How Much Does DietSpotlight Burn Cost?

According to the official website, DietSpotlight Burn TS sells for $59.95 for a one-month supply. There is also a 120-day 100% satisfaction guarantee provided.

BUT, some customers have complained that they were enrolled in an auto-ship program, which means they were billed every 30 days and shipped a new bottle of the DietSpotlight product.

Is DietSpotlight a Scam?

All in all, the official website does mention they are marketing their own weight loss supplements. So, this diet review site isn't really a scam. It's just a business trying to sell some diet products.

Is the DietSpotlight Shop Now Endorsing Noom for Weight Loss?

Yes, Diet Spotlight is now encouraging dieters to try Noom, which is a weight loss program for both women and men, and it's claimed to help you drop 1-2 pounds per week. Note that DietSpotlight does not own Noom. Therefore they must be making affiliate sales by pushing this diet program.

  1. Uh, it's pretty scummy. At least if you ask me. Dietspotlight.com clearly has an agenda to trick you into buying their diet product. They may offer loads of weight loss reviews, but the reviews all send you in the same direction, which is to order their product. That's basically subterfuge. Not to mention, they were selling it for like $109 per bottle, which is crazy. Instead of wasting your money on the Dietspotlight Burn or whatever they're calling it these days, try eating right and exercising regularly. The results will last.

  3. I dealt with dietspotlight.com before and would call it a scam. They need to be clear about the auto-renewal program you're enrolled in when choosing the trial offer. You WILL get re-charged every month for another bottle of dietspotlight burn ts if you give them your credit card number. I hate these things. And all these diet product companies seem to be doing the same thing. It's just shady!! But don't take my word for it. Look at the BBB page for the company behind dietspotlight.com. Lots of complaints.

  4. Hi Maria, I appreciate the comment on DietSpotlight.com, and thanks for elaborating on the trial offer, as well as the BBB page on the company Green Bracket LLC, which is behind the DietSpotlight Burn TS diet product. I'm sure other consumers will appreciate this information.

  5. Oh my God, YES it's a scam!! This is the company that ripped me off back in the day. The Dietspotlight weight loss former was called Leptigen. Total rip off, like $100 a month. And they auto-enrolled me into a shipping plan, so I lost crap loads of cash. GRR, this is the kind of garbage that you have to deal with if you try one of these online diet pills. They act like they're doing you a favor, but they're actually ripping you off. Leptigen weight loss pills do NOT work. Later they called it Dietspotlight Burn TS. Just changing the name to sell more bottles, but not be associated with all the customer complaints. I even found them on RipOff Report.
