Acai Berry is a popular weight loss supplement ingredient these days. If you are unfamiliar with this exotic fruit, these berries are commonly found in Central and South America, and they come from the acai palm tree. This fruit has received a lot of rave in recent years because it is rich in antioxidants, which help combat damaging free radicals. Antioxidants can help boost immune system health, prevent illness, and even help with cancer prevention. According to some studies, these berries are more beneficial to your health than blueberries, raspberries, cranberries, blackberries and strawberries.

Acai Berry is claimed to help with weight loss. However, this does not appear to be supported by any scientific proof. These berries are very healthy, and they do contain fiber, protein, amino acids, anthocyanins, xanthines, omega fatty acids (3,6 and 9), phytonutrients, calcium, potassium, and even minerals such as iron. Therefore these berries can certainly be wonderful for overall health and wellness. However, unfortunately there is no direct link between Acai Berry fruit and fat loss.

Other claims regarding Acai Berry diet pills and health supplements are as follows; improved vision, reduced aging, more youthful skin, improved circulation, higher energy levels, better heart health, lower cholesterol levels, and internal detoxification. There are even claims that this berry extract improves sexual function.   Dozens of Acai supplements are available on Amazon and in health stores for prices ranging from $7 to $40 per bottle. These are typically capsules or tablets. However, you can also buy Acai juice to drink.

The Skinny on Acai Berry for Weight Loss

When all is said and done, there is no solid proof that Acai Berries help with weight reduction or fat loss. While this berry fruit does provide all sorts of nourishment and antioxidant protection, it does not speed up the metabolism or burn off excess fat. On the other hand, these berries do contain fiber, which can assist with regularity and satiety. But, this fiber is probably not found in capsules and tablets. You probably have to eat the actual fruit.
