Qsymia Review (UPDATE: 2020)

What is Qsymia?

Qsymia is a prescription weight loss drug suitable for adults with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater. It was first released in late 2012. This weight loss product must be obtained through a licensed physician. It costs between $139.99 and $219.99 per bottle. Prices vary depending on the prescription strength and where this diet pill is purchased.

When combined with a healthy diet and exercise program, Qsymia can help you drop up to four times more weight. This diet pill is approved by the FDA, and it can be used for long-term weight loss.

Qsymia Product Specifics

Qsymia is available in four different dosage strengths. The dosage strength you are prescribed depends on your doctor and your individual condition. Once your physician has assessed your health and weight loss goals, you will be prescribed a suitable dosage, and this may change over time, depending on your weight loss results. Whether or not you experience side effects will also impact your prescription dosage.

There are two major ingredients used in Qsymia capsules. One of them is Phentermine, which is a derivative of amphetamine, and it assists by suppressing appetite. The other important ingredient is Topiramate, which also curbs hunger and may reduce common cravings for sugar and carbs.

Qsymia extended release capsules are typically taken on a daily basis, and can be taken for up to 56 weeks. However, this depends on your doctor's instructions.

Some common Qsymia side effects include:
  • trouble sleeping
  • tingling or numbness in the feet, hands, arms, and face
  • dry mouth

The Skinny on Qsymia

Qsymia is certainly causing quite a stir in the weight loss community and healthcare field. While some doctors approve of this diet drug, it is clear that others do not. I read plenty of mixed reviews posted online. As you may have guessed, this diet drug does yield real results for a lot of women and men. However, a key factor is diet and exercise. In fact, these are imperative in order to get the results you are after. It is suggested to reduce your daily caloric intake by 500 calories. In the end, you must speak with your doctor about Qsymia to see if you are a good candidate for this diet pill.

  1. I don't think I trust Phentermine. This diet drug gets a lot of mixed feedback. It must be pretty intense. Some doctors do not like it.

  2. Having read this I thought it was really informative.
I appreciate you finding the time and effort to put this
information together. I once again find myself spending way too much
time both reading and commenting. But so what, it was still worthwhile!
